Stacking intersecting curved walls on top of each other no longer creates gaps in the ceiling of the lower room.
I don't know if all the issues in this thread are fixed with this so I'm going to leave the thread open. Please post your feedback.

It was "fixed" when stacking a platform over flat floor or foundation, but platform over platform is still problematic
When placing a curved platform over a flat surface without any elevation, there is a visible seam
The seam is less visible when elevating the foundation
If the curved platform is below the foundation level, it shows this distortion with clipping
Curved platform over platform shows the rectangular cutout + clipping
If the curved platform is below the level of the other platform, it still shows the rectangular cutout + distortion with clipping
