I'm going to try this method and see if it works. My sim lives in Old New Henford (New Old Henford? I get confused!) And after spending an afternoon in the Bramblewood, there's nothing to harvest.

My game is also doing this, when i first got cottage living around a year ago it worked perfectly.
No mushrooms spawn at the usual sites and wild harvestables don't grow either, so frustrating!

I am willing to share my saved files to fix the problem. I still can't see harvestable on those plants and now they suddenly become back to piles of dirt when I leave my property and come back.
