My game is also doing this, when i first got cottage living around a year ago it worked perfectly.
No mushrooms spawn at the usual sites and wild harvestables don't grow either, so frustrating!
Hello All,
Is anyone still encountering this issue on the latest game version without mods?
If yes, Refer to save request post for save sharing instructions, https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/NEEDS-SAVES-Wild-Plants-not-maturing-producing-harvestables/m-p/12102733/highlight/true#M236846
Thanks
- AskAshley2 years agoSeasoned Newcomer@TheSimsDirect I can't figure out how to direct message (sorry!), but I am still encountering this issue with no mods.

This was fixed for me some time ago (I previously reported it on Xbox Series S in 2021) but it's started again since patch 1.82 on Xbox Series X (all content except for V/BTD).
The wild plants don't all produce harvestables at first, then they eventually do produce harvestables but then stop again after a few days if my Sims remain in the location. They are currently hopping around different areas of Granite Falls and they needed more harvestables to make herbal remedies. None of the plants will produce more harvestables now. They are in season, in fact I deliberately sent my Sims there at the right time to get the summer plants.
Sulani is also affected with all plants rarely producing harvestables, again with Sims staying there and living there.
I've got more locations to test as my adventurous Sims are camping in various destination worlds.

I have a Sim living in the world and ran into the same issue. She isn't allowed to grow anything she doesn't find in the wild, and she can't cook without ingredients she grows, so this is a problem. The tomato plants and "fruit tree" in the Finchwick town square don't function properly. She lives near the lot so she does't have to "Travel" to get there. They grow, but never bear produce. When she visits the lot/bar properly by travelling, they become dirt piles.
Also, nobody attends the Old New Henford community garden, and nothing gets planted. My Sim doesn't have the option to plant anything, either, even with new seed packets & fruit in her inventory.I do play with game fixing mods, though, so I'm not sure how to go about providing a save file.
- JuniperWhimsy9 months agoSeasoned VeteranI'm having exactly the same issues in the Henford-on-Bagley world as described by @RenegadeKittyOG in their post above; both the community gardens in Finchwick and the Bramblewood are empty and/or the plants don't produce any harvestables. Likewise, near the Creature Keeper's home there are several garden pots which are empty and my sim cannot plant in them.
There are several Chocoberry plants dotted around the Bramblewood which are fully grown but don't have anything to harvest despite being a year-round plant.
And finally I am struggling to find any of the Cottage Living mushrooms growing wild (Spicy, Verdant, Flirty etc). In the Bramblewood only two mushroom spots are visible (I'm sure there used to be many more when I last played in Henford a good few months ago) and both are for Night Mushrooms, so I'm struggling to complete the errands which ask for these mushrooms.
