Hi, so after my PlayStation reset and I had to start over (which is a whole other issue in itself), the star icons will refuse to go away for some reason, this happens on both CAS and Build Mode no matter what I do. I would usually ”click” (well, press X) on the item and the star would go away but that doesn’t work either.

If so you can click Me Too on the first post on page 1 and add a reply too if you'd like to do so, you should be prompted with a bug template to fill in.
If it is this issue I get it too on Xbox Series X but currently just in CAS. It doesn't seem to affect anything, it just bothers me. But it has been noted at least.
If it's not this issue could you give us some more details or a screenshot of what you are seeing.
so it is something similar to that except I don’t get the “Welcome to The Sims 4 XYZ” pop ups, and in CAS every item except the long female hair category has everything listed as new.
