aren't phases shown by moodlets and not traits ? Does he still have a moodlet for the phase ?
There is an issue where they keep entering the phase and this might be connected. Did you have that bug when he was still a child ?
Also: Any mods/cc in your game ?

My sim doesn't seem to get the happy moodlet about being mean, so I guess he's not getting the moodlet for it anymore. I think childhood phases are temporary traits.
Yes, the entering phase bug was with my all 4 of the sims family's kids. However, it was never strong enough to cause them to be starving or exhausted. I was still able to get them to sleep or eat eventually.
As for mods, or cc, no I don't have any, so I guess that wouldn't be affecting it.
But only still has it ? I do think it might be connected.
Unsure atm, if I should merge or leave as it's own thread.
