Sorry for replying late! It was a rental lot before I placed the haunted house and my family wasn't living in it yet. I put them on a separate lot and placed the haunted house down on the rental lot. After I put the premade haunted house down I moved my family into it thinking it was now a haunted house but it broke and when I came out of my game to do something I couldn't go back to play with my family. I also have a couple of pictures.
@LydiReubTills Sorry, now it's at me for a late reply. Finally got around to test this and yeah, totally broken.
What you need to do is move your family out through the household manager and back to the lot you were on. Then enter the broken lot in build mode and bulldoze the whole thing. change it to haunted residential, then place the house again and move back in. Now you should be fine.
Seems to happen to any residential lot type as far as I can tell
