PlantSims: Sim still showing PlantSim behavior after being eaten by cow plant

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PlayStation 5
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.67.26.3410 (64bit)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Expansions: Cats and Dogs, City Living, Get Together, Get to Work, Seasons Game Packs: Dream Home Decorator, Parenthood Stuff Pack: My First Pet
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? During plant-a-sim scenario, have a plant sim get eaten by cow plant and become terrified of plants
What happens when the bug occurs? Sim becomes terrified of plants after spit out by cow plant, immediately making them turn back into a normal sim. Eating a forbidden fruit doesn’t make “wilting” emotion go away. Although sim is still human and looks human, sim will get the random pollen like emotion dust coming off of them. All needs are the humans need such as bathroom and eat food. Sim has the positive emotion for being a plant sim and is in a happy mood, with the gray “wilted” emotion going further down the bar but I still got the pop up that Sim will die soon. I’ve tried eating around 5 forbidden fruits, save and exit, restart game etc… I had every goal for scenario done besides “harvest from perfect plant” which is glitched as well because I harvested some at spice festival when it was in town.
What do you expect to see? Sim should turn fully back into plantsim after eating forbidden fruit.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

    @Lizi0s I haven't play the scenario so I'm taking the being eaten by cow plant is not a must step ?

    It seems that it prematurely turned the Sim into human again when it shouldn't have. I'm guessing the Sim still has some traits that they shouldn't have but since you're on console, it's a bit hard to check.

    How long has it been since the cowplant incident ?

    Hi Crin,

    No it is not must step. Just was gardening a lot lol and had a cow plant. 

    I think the glitch has something to do with the terrified moodlet my sim is afraid of all plants. There is a “want” bubble with wanting to milk the cowplant when confident but i already milked it and got a despair milk. So now in order for me to milk it again i would have to make it swallow someone again i believe? But i can’t feed it anymore and have my sim get swallowed because she’s too afraid to feed or eat the cake

    @Lizi0s my guess is that the being eaten by the cowplant just borked the status of the plant Sim

    Do you have another Sim you could feed it with ? You could try add one temporarily until the Sim can get rid of the fear.

    I don't know if that would help with the half-plant sim/half normal Sim status though.

    Would you be willing to use a cheat on this save ?

    Here's what fixed it for me:

    Scenario: Plant-A-Sim.  Sim is eaten by Cowplant.  PlantSim status removed: revert to human needs and appearance.  Acquire “Wilting” moodlet and will fail scenario if it times out.  Eat Forbidden Fruit of the PlantSim and PlantSim moodlet appears but Wilting moodlet does not go away and human status remains. 

    Fix: Remove fear of Cowplants using Fear-Be-Gone potion from Rewards Store.  Then have social event (party worked for me) at a retail venue.  Not sure if can use other types of venues will work, but it must not be own residence.  One time it didn't work in someone else's residence, but I'm not sure if that was because I didn't remove the fear of Cowplants. 

    I also uprooted that blasted Cowplant!  Not sure if this is needed but it felt good.

    The same thing just happened to me, so decided to turn off the fears option but it didn't work. With 1h left on the wilting status, I panicked and turned off and back on the game itself. My Sims is green again, so I guess it worked!

    So yeah turning off the fears and the game should be enough!
