Just for more info:
This thread - http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/822435/criminal-presence - includes reports of jobs being changed for dead Sims (as seen in genealogy) and of the Grim Reaper being given a job. Both of those seem to me like they shouldn't be happening either.
