Is this happening only in save files that existed before the patch, or just in new save files, or both?
I'm not sure how relevant that is to troubleshooting, but I am genuinely curious.
Yes, it happens in new games. It made Barbie a painter; I had her unemployed. So far, with 12 played Sims in 8 households in this new game, it hasn't touched existing jobs, though, just unemployed played Sims.
