So that explains why some of my unemployed sims now have jobs. I don't care what they do to the townies, but I have plans for my played sims that I don't want messed with.

Sorry, if this was noted before, also, maybe this is separate issue and should be given another thread.
Rotating jobs are one issue. It's annoying, but oh well, let's say our sims are free enough to choose for themselves. Besides, in my game they tend to change only low-level jobs, those that have high positions stay.
My issue is, when changing job, the very first in their life, from, let's say, level one businessman, they can change it to unbelievably and impossibly high level 10 sportsman. Now that's a game-breaking nonsense.

Yeh! I agree with that! The last time that I had a Sims Game was Sims "Superstar". That game was great! Maxis/EA did not mess with anything. Here, they got their hands in EVERYTHING, and it needs to STOP!
I think that what we "all" need to is to all ban together and tell Maxis/EA to STOP MESSING WITH OUR PLAYED SIMS PERIOD! Geez, this really needs to STOP!

I have a sim whose aspiration is the "public enemy" aspiration and as part of the aspiration he has to reach level 4 of the criminal career. Thanks to this stupid bug, I don't know if I'm going to be able to complete his aspiration and get him the reward trait (which he is in dire need of, it's perfect for his character) because the game automatically has him at level 1 of the Oracle track.
I'm really p.o.ed about this bug.
