Polygamy update or bug??

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? Deutsch
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? Unsure
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Laundry, pets, Granite Falls, Sulani, City Living, University, Highschool, Seasons
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I’m not sure if this affects every gamer’s experience but my sims are able to have multiple spouses at the same time and I’m curious if this is a bug or an update
What happens when the bug occurs? Everything seems to function normally in the UI including the family tree
What do you expect to see? I’m not aware of any polygamy updates, worried this may be a bug that could destabilize my game.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

    @brokebanshee92 I just tested it in my game, there is no option to marry a second partner if a sim is already married. They can ask to be wohoo partners, but not marry a second spouse.

    Yeah it's pretty weird, they all live pretty harmoniously. The game allowed my sim Anja to propose and marry two sims, one after another. I haven't downloaded any mods or anything to accomplish this. I'm using a laptop to play but I am really puzzled by this. I didn't see any announcements on EA. So far the game is going fine but still pretty bizzare.

    I forgot to mention that I play in German to help learn the language better but my first language is English which is why I posted here!!! I'm kinda curious if maybe this is an update that hasn't been made to the English version yet? If anyone has better fluency than me in German, feel free to repost this for Deutsch gamers.

    Anja had 100 for romance with both of her husbands and mostly green for the friendship bar with both. As long as one is not in the same room as the other during a romantic interaction, it’s pretty peaceful. The two husbands were friendly with each other too. However in the generations since Anja, polygamy has not been allowed. I guess it was a bug after all? I think it would be interesting to keep this as a feature for more storytelling.

    @brokebanshee92 Both are showing as husband in the relationship. There is a bug where romantic partners suddenly turn into siblings and then maybe the game thought they aren't married and offered the option again.

    Just checking if that wasn't the case for you. Check on the Info Panel of the other Sims.
