i have sims 4 on my ps4, it was fine until a few weeks ago the frames started to drop. it was easy to fix at first as all i had to do was save the game and it would be back to normal, but now nothing works, i deleted old saves, checked wifi, deleted screen shots and cleaned the fans on my ps4, i have no clue what to do, does anyone have a fix
@holliedenny I'm on Xbox Series X and I've had game lag on a couple of consoles too but I've added some tips that help me with the issue on this thread here:
There's also a troubleshooting guide on this thread here for PS:
In addition to that PS manufacturer troubleshooting tips specifically for FPS drop say to do the following:
🔹Make Sure You Have Enough Free Disk Space. ...
🔹Physically Clean Your PlayStation 4.
🔹Rebuild the PS4 System Database.
🔹Enable Boost Mode (PS4 Pro) ...
🔹Install the Latest Game Updates. ...
🔹Upgrade to an SSD or Faster HDD. ...
🔹Check Individual Game Settings. ...
🔹Improve PS4 Network Performance
There is also a setting on my Xbox which links my tv settings to my console if it's purely a display issue and not a game slowing down issue because I've had both happen to me. So take a look at your PS settings and see if there is anything similar. On Xbox it says this:
Settings>tv & display options>device control>HDMI/CEC✓
This setting allows HDMI Consumer Electronics Control to (CEC) to control your display or AV receivers
Until I changed this setting I had an awful graphics lag, frame drop and error messages, many players are still affected and if you get any graphics settings messages there's a thread here:
I hope something here helps, good luck.
