This is still an issue over two years later. Why? This is essentially a "game-breaking" bug that causes players to lose their progress.
As you can hopefully see from my attached image, I picked up a plate of food just as a message popped up and was unable to click away the pop up, place down the food, or do anything else. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting my controller to see if that would fix the issue, but I'm now stuck with the "controller disconnected" pop up.
I am not even able to open my menu to save my game meaning my progress will be lost (luckily I save regularly).
I understand the volunteers on these forums have no control over these issues, and my annoyance is not aimed at them what so ever, I think you do an amazing job and are always very active an knowledgeable.
