Publish a book gone from mailbox

While I was playing, the game stopped displaying the option to publish books.  It had been working fine, then stopped with new books written.  I followed suggestions on your forums to move the sims 4 folder to another location, rename the sims 4 folder to sims4_backup, and restarted the game.  I was still unable to publish a book in the new game.  I ran the option to repair my files and had my mac run first aid on the hard drive, still no ability to publish books.  My game is fully updated.  I am running iso 10.15.7.  Please tell me how I can fix this.  Your advice on the forum said to open a

How often does the bug occur?

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? 
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 
What happens when the bug occurs? 
What do you expect to see? 
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods?
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system?

Sims will no longer mistake the outdoor mailbox for a wall mailbox when publishing a book. It all gets to the same outcome, just without the shoving a book through the side of a metal mailbox part

I don't know if above patch notes fix the issue of this thread.

Could people with this issue let me know if it's fixed for them or not

Hi @crinrict  at the moment I do not experience this issue anymore 🙂

My Sims recently wrote a book, but I can't see any option in the mailbox to publish it.

I switched to the Freelance writers career, but that doesn't help. The book is still in his inventory.

What level writing is your Sim?

He is level 8 in writing.

Today he finished another book and this book he could publish. Apperantly it has something to do with skill books which can't be published.

Don't know if that's a bug or intented.
