This has been happening for me since I started playing about six months ago. The game won't register meeting the hermit in granite falls, learning potions and spells in the magic pack and days spent as a vampire for the vampire pack for me. I never have had mods or cc. 

I am having this issue too, with the Successful Lineage aspiration. It will not recognize sim interaction, despite the fact that the action(s) have definitely been performed. I'm not sure how long it has been an issue for, I've only noticed it in the last week or so. 

For me it's random

All of them. Small everyday whim aspirations and the family aspirations, ie have child fulfill aspirations... Or try for a baby or get a promotion in whims. For me the family - have a child fulfill an aspiration- has not been working for months, however after the update I installed yesterday the whim aspirations are no longer fulfilling

It's the only aspiration I've encountered the issue with so far. My sim has fully completed most aspirations. 

No cc or mods 🙂

Same here. I have a sim working on socializing with their child 10 times in the Successful Lineage aspiration, but the game isn't registering when the action is completed making it really frustrating because I can't make any progress.. also my whims haven't been fulfilling either upon completion of the whim unless I clear the ones I have pinned that the game seems to get stuck on.

I play on the Xbox one. Restarting the game hasn't helped anything.

I have had this issue since the update in the last couple of days. I haven't tried every aspiration, but I am also having trouble switching aspirations - I have to select it twice for it to register.

I have a Sim doing Master Maker, on the step to harvest from bug farm 3 times - he did it twice before update, but harvests after the update do not count. A Sim doing Public Enemy needs to reach Level 4 of the Criminal Career, he's at Level 6 (Boss), and it still shows as incomplete. A few Sims doing City Native, introductions in city neighborhoods, giving an apartment key, or ordering from food stalls - none have counted.

Upon loading a household, I get Error Code 140:95e2d14f:30cc6644, which also started happening with the latest update.

@CoolAKn Okay, so apparently it's a broken mod that's causing the error code, but I haven't tried completing any aspirations yet, since I am try to figure out which one is broken (thankfully I don't have very many).

I have the same problem with 3 different aspirations. First one is check ID of Batuu citizens, stays 0/5, I have the necessary first order rank, and I checked people from every faction (batuu citizens included) just to make sure it does not work. The second one is the freelance gigs which I found has been reported already and is a known issue. The third one is the family aspiration "socialize with your child 10 times" and "read book to your children for 2 hours". The weird thing about this one is that it did complete for the father, but it does not complete for the mother. I tried clearing cache, moving lots, splitting household you name it. I don't use any mods. These issues all occur with the same 1 sim

Added the most up to date last exception

I noticed today that I won a duel with a spellcaster and it didn't update my aspiration. Attached is a screenshot where I got the Moodlet, but not the advancement on my aspiration.

I am running a fresh install on a new machine. No mods or CC. All packs.

If anyone else still has this issue with the duelling goal like I do... I found the way around it is to be the challenger and then win. Accepting another Sims challenge doesn't unlock the aspiration for me. Sometimes it doesn't unlock at the duelling grounds either but it does by duelling in the street.

On the issue of aspirations not fulfilling, I also have this with Cottage Living. I purchased 2 llamas but the aspiration goal still didn't register. It's also always got stuck on mansion baron. It says I have no windows most times. I have to add the windows again a few times in build mode. On City Living, giving a house key to a friend doesn't unlock, only apartment keys and there is a house in the city but if you live there you can't complete that goal. On Xbox series S so can't share saves.

Going to archive this thread as there was a general issue that doesn't seem to occur anymore.

If anyone has issues with a certain aspiration, please create ONE thread per aspiration you have issues with.

Check the compiled list first if there's already a thread.
