Side question: Is "Enable Follow Messages" set to On, or Off? - If set to "Off" they just attend school as before the new expansion pack.

Under Career Panel.

    Marked as Solution for Visibility. This is still an open issue.

    I'm currently not sure about this issue.

    There seem both mod related and non mod related component.

    Please make sure to remove or update your mods.

    Possible Culprits:

    • Mods (like any mod that already added a school)
    • You have follow not turned on on the career tab
    • The first day might not work. Depending of when you enter the game, the game might already be locked on rabbithole. Try the next day.

    If you still have this issues with all mods/cc removed and it still happens on consecutive days, please send me your save game.

    If your issue is mod related, please use the other thread if you can't find the culprit. There have been a few mentioned there. Any posts about mods being the cause will be moved over to the other thread.

      Hello I'm unable to follow any sims to Highschool or other jobs from get to work such as scientist

      I have the pop ups toggled to allow for school and work. 

      I'm on PS4 so not mods related

    I don't even have that option, the school menu is just like before the pack

      have you both tried the factory reset described above and tested a new save ? Especially if the school menu looks like before.

      I have zero mods I bought the game and I have the same issue. Can't follow my sims to school

        I was only able to go to school with my teen only once, the other days the clocks goes past 8am, no messages and my teens DO NOT even go to school, I click on the Go To School icon on the career panel and its just get ignored, so I decided just travel to school manually, and instead i got principal telling on the lines you have the nerve in showing up when you are Skipping school for something, so I have no choice but to take the entire day off.

        Yes, I have, and I have no school-related mods. I've been playing sims for decades now, I know all of the first steps to take. I have repaired, cleared, and redownloaded my game. I don't have the option to follow. I have none of the mentioned bug mods either.

      @alyssa146 If you're not using mods/c in your game, please send me your save game.

      If you are, remove them and delete your localthumbcache file.
