I also had no problem completing the spar with others task (no Bot required 🙂). I just clicked on a Sim (sometimes at bar, sometimes at a gym) & under the Friendly category I clicked "more choices" until I found "Spar". Of course, some of the folks I sparred with I had to do a Friendly intro with first, but once that was done I could do the spar option. Found it takes 4 sparring rounds to complete the task, so you can either do all four with the same sim or spar with a couple different ones.
