Re: [BY DESIGN] [ECO] Can't place certain plants in vertical garden

So, I have played around with this quite a bit, and I've made some observations:

1. If the produce is in your inventory, drop it on the ground first before dragging it into the planter seems to help.

2. Make sure the planter is not against a wall or touching anything. Once it's planted, you can move it against a wall.

3. There might be a connection regarding whether the produce was bought, collected, or scavenged from a dumpster. I've had more trouble if it's something I got from a dumpster.

4. If the plant becomes a soil lump again, you can regrow it with the testingcheats plant menu and it should be harvestable by the next day.

5. The hydroponic garden beds also seem to turn trees and plants into potted soil sometimes when spraying for bugs.

  • @crinrict I've edited my original post to include a list of plants that can not be placed into the planters.

I also did a test opening of 30 each of the Vertical Planter Flowers & Vertical Planter Fruits seed packets, and there are a lot more plants that can be grown in a vertical planter than you receive from the seed packets.
