Re: Color marking on emotional paintings is missing

@Heddelviven Could you test inspired ? That works for me. Confident/Flirty doesn't give me an option either.

EDIT:

Hm, there is a confident/flirty painting but it doesn't looks different to me. Didn't it used to have a bar like all the inspired paintings  ?

    Hi,

Judging from your screenshot, it looks like your sim has the 'Expressionistic Reward Trait', which unlocks all emotional paintings.

What I mean is that a sim that hasn't this reward trait, and is in a certain mood, does not have the option to paint the corresponding painting.

Inspired does work. All options get the inspired (light blue) colour.

@Heddelviven I need to check but if I have that trait but this is a fairly new Sim. I just cheated painting to 10

Should it show with the bar ?

I'll check once I'm done checking other people's saves :D

    EDIT

    My SIms traits

Suddenly I do see the option to paint a confident painting for my confident sim.

But I do think something has changed.

Previously there was this blue color on the option, and now this has gone.

@Heddelviven yeah, I thought there was a blue/pink color. Was there only one type of confident/flirty painting ?

I tested for confident, flirty, playful, sad and angry.

In all cases the option was there but there was no color marking present.

Also I noticed that if your sim hasn't got enough simoleons, the option to make a painting can still be clicked but then nothing happens.

When hoovering over the option, it does say that there a not enough simoleons but this text is shown three times.

I do think that I remember that prevously the option was greyed out, but I am not sure.

I also tested through cheats whether painting level 10 or the expressionistic reward trait unlocks all emotional paintings regardless of mood.

The answer is: both do independently.

Which makes the expressionistic reward trait obsolete in my view. You can't receive the expressionistic trait without reaching level 10 after all.

@Heddelviven Mine was in the flirty mood when the flirty showed up and confident when confident showed up but I didn't click on more to see if the others were present as well.

My sims can paint emotional paintings and they do count toward the aspiration but when they are in a certain mood (ex. flirty), the option for that emotional painting (flirty painting) shows up but is not highlighted with a color (pink).  This is true of all the emotional paintings except when inspired.  That does highlight the options with blue.

My sims do not have the expressionistic trait yet.  FYI:  In the past when sims have that trait it just adds all the painting options to the list, nothing gets highlighted with color.

So my only issue is that I'm not seeing the color highlighting which makes it easier to see the emotional painting option when your sim is in the correct mood.
