Could you possibly share a video of this issue occurring, @alanmichael1? Thanks much for the help!

Hello @SimGuruNick
thanks a lot for your help!! I must admit I don't know how to share a video of the Sims, but I managed to take some quick screenshots. Unfortunately it's just night in my game, but I think the problem can be seen:
The problem occurs with both types of waterslides on all types of lots, regardless of how many free space there is around the slides.
I hope this helps you to identify the problem!
Best regards

I have just installed the new patch and tested the waterslide - it is as broken as ever (German language version). Sims walk back on the slide causing ugly clipping. At least vampires fly back as bats - that's funny.
@crinrict Could you ever reproduce this bug in any language? Nobody seems to be complaining about it, so this is perhaps my unique personal bug.

No, I haven't been able to repro this at all. I think I did test it on the German version but I'm unsure.
I have a water slide in my store and one at home and both are used often.
Can't remember if you ever uploaded your save ?

That's really strange ... it happens in all my saves on 2 computers: Sims walk on the slide and slide through each other. It's really a pity because I like this item so much. But if nobody can repro it, the chances for a fix are low. I must try the English version sometime.

Would be a good test. It's pretty easy to change language

Ha! I did some research on Youtube and found out that I'm not the only one with this bug.
Here is a brand new Let's Play with a garden party. If you jump to 2:50 you see the Sims walking on the slide and sliding through each other - even in the English version:

Now watch for comparison LGR's review of Backyard Stuff from last summer. Jump to 3:15 and see how it should be: Sims walking back beside the water slide:

And you're also seeing the only once still ?

Hello.
We can reproduce Sims walking on the slide, but not the issue with Sims only sliding once. If anyone is still seeing Sims only sliding once, please let us know.
Thank you.
- alanmichael19 years agoSeasoned AceOnly if there are attractive items (e.g. hot tubs) nearby. Otherwise Sims use the waterslide quite normally and also autonomously.

So basically we have two issues in one thread here. I thought you were taking about the using more than once mainly cause that was OPs issue
Sorry for the confusion.
- alanmichael19 years agoSeasoned Ace
The "using once" issue seems to depend very much on the surrounding of the waterslide. For example I have a slide at a public pool that is only one square away from the swimming pool. At this venue Sims will almost always cancel sliding after one try because they are obsessed with sitting on the edge of the pool (if someone wants to test this, download my "Mexican Pool" from the Gallery). If you put the waterslide in the middle of a big lawn, many Sims may slide for a long time and even start the action autonomously. But generally the action is less constant than before the CL patch.

I don't know if any other Simmer than me was still affected by the walking-on-waterslides-bug, but today's patch finally fixed for me. I tested both slide types and Sims will queue up as intended and walk back beside the slide. Thank you a thousand times!

Thanks you for the follow up.
I'm going to mark this as fixed for now.
tagging @lolatort for feedback though

- Sims instructed to slide on a slippy slide should no longer quit unexpectedly after a single slide.
Looks like it's officially fixed now.
