My game is fully patched as of a few minutes ago and the crib was not removed from the hallway. It is STILL there.

Can you try switch to that family ?

The bug as such is fixed hence I'm marking it as such but maybe there's still affected saves that don't work well with removing.

My offer still stands. Send me your save.

I can't switch to the family because I have no idea who they were(?) Do you know who the original family was in that location? That's who was pregnant and spawned the crib when she went to empty the trash. I have no idea who lived there ☹️   All I did was move a sim into Jasmine and within minutes... boom! the crib was in the hallway.

I will try and send you my latest save... is that the one you'd like?

The file is done uploading. How will you know where to find it tho? It just says "upload complete".

I don't know how else to tell you what happened other than what I've been saying ☹️

Here is what happened:

I loaded CL for the very first time after purchasing.

I moved an existing sim into an apartment in the Jasmine building. He is a single, male sim.

He went into the apartment and within minutes, the female, pregnant sim from across the hall (put there by EA) came out to empty the trash.

As soon as she did that, a crib appeared in the hallway.

The crib remained in the hallway even after the EA sim disappeared back into her apartment.

The crib remained for days on end.

I wanted to get rid of the crib, so I went into the EA apartment and moved/evicted the pregnant family out (no idea who they were).

I demo'd the apartment as much as I could (trying to remove any trace of the previous family) in an effort to get rid of the crib.

Nothing worked. The crib is still in the hallway.

My game is fully patched. I even ran "repair" and it is still there in the hallway.

I'll see if I find a way to get rid of it ... or pass it on

@Jonalinn The original family is called Bheeda, Jesminder and Arun

They have twins in your game.

If you move them back into their lot, the crib disappears

You can just merge them with your family and then evict them again. And then delete any cribs you have in family inventory and/or apartment.

I think it WORKED!!!! I'm cautiously optimistic but I did as you instructed and I don't see the crib in the hallway!!!

I saw your blog entry and wanted to add in some info for you 🙂

• How to prevent
  
      I didn’t verify this but try to place the crib before birth. The baby should then spawn in that one (place two just in case as you never know when you have twins)
      Make sure your pregnant Sims isn’t in the common area when the baby comes.
      Have the baby in a house..

The Jasmine apartment in CL already has a crib in it (along with a teddy bear) that is put there by EA. This, however, did not prevent a crib from spawning in the hallway.

Secondly, there is no way to prevent the un-played pregnant EA sim from entering the hallway. She enters/leaves the hallway as she pleases.

I realize the patch is now supposed to fix this issue, so let's keep our fingers crossed! 🙂

@crinrict Not even the Wizard of Oz could've removed that crib from the hallway lol! I'm just glad you were able to help me get rid of it ... whew!! :eahigh_file:

TRy going traveling with another sim and take him with you

Or use testingcheats and then teleport here
