Im having the same problem, looks like this still hasnt been resolved for people. Just says Make a cross stitch 1 on the taste for adventure quest, made the cross stitch its in my inventory tried gifting it also nothing works, wont complete.

I had this happen today with an errand where I had to deliver a cross stitch to Agnes. The first one I made didn't work. The option to deliver it to her was greyed out when I tried. So, I made another and the 2nd one was accepted. The difference between them was I created a wall hanging with the 1st one and didn't for the 2nd.
To get the errand task to deliver a cross stitch to complete, do not create a wall hanging cross stitch, just create a cross stitch and deliver it.
