Re: [FIXED] Corrupted (R-rental) lot/Map doesn't load anymore/White Screen

I used a back up save and it was fine for a day. Now I am having the same issue in this back up save. 

I was attempting to build on the Tam Nang Sands lot both times the issue occurred. 

Now it is upon loading. I am able to use all other worlds fine but trying to build or place a lot in Tomarang now leads to an endless loading screen or a blank map every time. Once when I tried to place a lot the lot type said residential but then when I finally got back to the world map screen it was incorrectly tagged as residential rental and there was a large square llama picture on the map. I have once again had to restore a back up save and am currently avoiding Tomarang all together.

I tested both of your saves and got the same issue with Tomarang not being able to load. Something corrupts a lot in the world I think and then game can't load it. It throws a UI Exception. The Exception wasn't the same so I'm not sure what's going on.

The solution for this bug: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2022/06/world-appears-twice-on-world-map/ also helped me get your worlds back to loading. You'll loose all the houses but you can save your families to the a lot in a different world. You will also loose everything related to the pack in other worlds and will need to re-do that.

Disabling For Rent is also a solution that seems to work.

I don't know if the error will come back or what's triggering it so please keep backups.

I'm a bit unclear why all saves are affected for some of you but did you close down the game completely when switching from one save to another ? Sometimes bugs can be contagious .. meaning, if you don't close down the game completely and then load a different save, the same issue can occur in another as well.

Will forward your saves to EA. Hopefully it will help them fix the source.

2. Click on MCCC Cheats (or just cheats i forgot) then "Play Household".

3. Once you're in the household, click on the corrupt lot and visit.

4. Go to build buy mode once you're in that lot and change it out of residential rental, then back again, then build one small room and assign that to a unit. 

5. Go to manage worlds to see if it got fixed.

Thank you for all your help @crinrict !!  Was hoping I would not lose the lot I was working on when the issue first occurred as I had spent 2 days working on it. I had saved the lot to my library prior to the crash but it does seem that the lot itself is completely bugged. Any world I place the lot into is then afflicted with the endless white map screen. My game is also experiencing many of the other bugs seen on the forums. Devastating. 

@crinrict I did have it on the gallery but I removed it so no one else would download it and bug their game by mistake. I am happy to put it back up if you want to download it yourself. 

Hey so it's been a little while since I replied, I have personally had this bug for a whole week now and thus far nothing had worked until tonight I went into my computer and did ''a clean update or reparation or something like that'' a.k.a. i went in my computer's system configuration by typing ms.config in the computer search bar, disabled everything (except windows programs) and restarted my computer, it fixed the preview of my world, meaning I can see the world and lot information but any attempts to actually play or build or anything in tomarang has been met with the game crashing, lagging, endless loading screen or just straight up closing in my face so as I am one step further towards repairing my game without deleting everything, I have also spent about half an hour today with ea live chat support who told me they took the case up to the appropriate experts and we should have this issue fixed within the next ten days and it shall be posted on their official website, so thank you a whole giant lot to crinrict for helping us all with this issue and look out for the official sims team update!!       -Night

@crinrict I'm having a similar issue with willow creek every other world is working except willow. When I click on it it goes blank and doesn't allow me to go back to all world view, it pretty much crashes. It does that with all saves even the ones i haven't played in and also newly made saves. I was reading around and someone suggested removing my entire sims 4 folder I did that and the problem was no longer there but how to I get my saves back?

If you didn’t back up the files then theyre gone. Check the recycling bin just in case they went there. 

I was in a build game I have to test out lots before loading them into one of my main saves..  I changed a few things in the residential rentsl. mostly taking out things that used move objects, and got ride of a lot of objects that you cannot find in the regular catalogue.   They were hidden objects or something,  in the back yard I added a treehouse from growing together.  I didn’t use move objects on the treehouse to make it fit..   I changed the lot to residential uploaded it to the gallery, changed the name of the lot.  I noticed though that the units were of another residential rental I had tried on the lot a few days ago.  It was called Sequoia cottage.  Then I bulldozed the lot I went to manage worlds and when I tried to go back into San Sequoia I got a white blank screen.  I don’t use mods,or Cc in the sims 4.   but the lot was one I downloaded from the gallery.  Both the first apartment building and the second one I downloaded from the gallery.  I’m on laptop, own all packs to date.

Mine was corrupted in San Sequia not Tomorang.
