Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.75.125.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cats and Dogs, City Living, Get Together, Get to Work, Discover University, Snowy Escape, Seasons, Dream Home Decorator, Parenthood, Jungle Adventure, Nifty Knitting, Tiny Living, Movie Hangout, Luxury Party, Bowling Night
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Join the Dream Home Decorator career and take any "addition" renovation gig.
What happens when the bug occurs? You attempt to add tiles to the lot, but it keeps telling you that you can't edit existing structures, and that you must add to the existing structure.
What do you expect to see? I should be able to add a room somewhere on the lot to create the addition, decorate it, and reveal it to the client
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I had to cancel the gig because I physically couldn't add a space for the addition. I watched a James Turner video in which he needed to do a renovation that required an addition, and he was also unable to complete that gig correctly, and it damaged his sim's career. I will provide a link to his video.

    I was asked by the Goth family to do a top floor photography studio, and I get to the lot only to realize that the roof on the top o the little tower that serves as Alexander's room is not sitting on the top floor, but that it intersects the top floor somehow. I try going into manage worlds and changing it around so that the top floor was just above Alex's bedroom, and it didn't work, so eventually I gave in and made a few extremely ugly boxes with stairs leading up to what would be the fifth floor if you could add walls up there, and made an outdoor photography studio/patio because Mortimer really likes Garden Decor. Everyone but Bella loved it. Bella has hated every renovation I've done so far except for Alex's bedroom, which I expanded into one of the large boxes I had to add to get stairs to the fifth floor photography studio that was definitely 100% necessary. Another family that I downloaded off the gallery to fill in Newcrest with more job opportunities wanted an In-Laws Suite Addition and No matter where I tried to place a room for that gig, it was always red and couldn't be placed, and gave me a couple different errors about "You can only make changes to the level the clients have allowed" or something like that. I had to cancel that gig while on the lot because I couldn't actually add anything.
