did you try in a new save with mods removed sometimes mods can bug a save

I don't use any mods. Never have. No cheats either. Ever.
I just had the same problem with the Fountain View Penthouse. I tried exiting the game and trying to repair it, but had the same outcome when I restarted it. Luckily when I tried to restart a third time prior to the 9AM gig, the game jumped ahead to 4PM as though I sent my Sim to work alone. The client liked the renovation so I didn't have to have the loss of reputation I would have received if I cancelled the gig.
