Re: [FIXED] [DU] Can't re-enroll properly after Suspension/ Taking break

I played a different household when my sim in question was in college. When I got back to her, that's when she was suspended and the problem came following after.

I've tried to drop out and after a few days, I got to enroll again. But the point is, we can't re-enroll after being suspended. In my case, dropping out wasn't a big problem since I haven't done much with that sim, but if it does happen again and I have progress, I'd hate for her to drop out.

I hope there's a fix for this soon.

This is how it works at my college, Sims that get bad grades in one semester, you go on academic probation, if you don't get the grades up high enough you are bared from enrolling for 1 semester, if you come back again and you get bad grades they bar you for 2 semesters.  If you are in a disqueged degree and you get bad grades, your get suspended and must reapply for college as the scholarship for that degree is no longer valid.

    Edit: Let me just explain:

1rt F grade Academic Probation. No suspension.

    2nd F grade, suspended for following term/semester

    3rd F grade , suspended for 1 year.

failed all classes in one term equals automatic suspension.

Also certain degrees and scholarships have special requirements and if your using them to pay for college the school will suspend enrollment until the required payment method is completed.

When you are on suspension if you live in dorms you must wait for the loan payment and repay all debt to the school before you can reapply to the school without the scholarships.  I hope that helps.  If your living off campus you must repay student loans before you can reapply for college..

I haven't experienced that bug yet, but I am not sure if its a bug, because suspension should lead to the countdown timer for moving out of dorms and after that you should be able to reappy for college as long as student loans are not defaulted.

Edit: I sneezed and it hit the submit button before I was done adding stuff.:

Anyways when you are suspended and you live in dorms you must leave dorms to be able to reapply or it will still think your enrolled, but not in class.  Apparently the timer should have kicked in while at the dorms to kick you out of the dorms, like it does for graduation and other banned dorm activities.  For off campus all student loans must not be defaulted before you can reapply.

@Sid1701d9It's definitely a bug. My sim lived off-campus and she had no loans. The problem is, the timer reached zero while I was playing a different family. There was no prompt to move out or anything like that. In my screenshot above, you'll see that the countdown timer says zero. It has been on zero for weeks but my sim could not reapply even after moving her to a different lot.

I decided to make her drop out. She lost all of her credits but it's the only way to get past the suspension.

  • I believe I'm experiencing a new bug.

    Have two sims in college.

After the last day of class, the first  a sim got a B+ in his GPA. The second one got a C+.

The sim who got a B+ received a notice that he's on probation.. why?! It feels like the other way around.

    @Nickelle19 Are you using any mods/CC ?

as this doesn't seem related to this issue, it's best if you made your own thread.

I am a rotational player, I have several households with Sims in College from home as I find it too glitchy in dorms, anyway, this one Sim had A+ GPA and signed up for new term, as I do with all my Sims in college, I made sure all course work was completed and turned in (Term Papers, presentations, etc) and that they've gone to classes a time or two before moving to next household, sometimes when I get back to the family in question its time for next term, no issues... not this time, my other's are progressing normally but for some reason this guy is suspended with C+ GPA and says cannot enroll for 0 days... and its said that through 3 others graduating.... Needless to say this is pissing me off, I do a lot of prep work building up my Sims capabilities before I even enroll them.  Sim in question is at 8 of 12 terms and I do not want to drop him out and start over.  I've tried updating and repairing game, clearing cache etc... he is still suspended!

Same thing here. I made the mistake of sending all of my Sims to college at the same time thinking they could bond better with ear other. What a huge mistake that was, If I went to one house and played them for more than a "sims" day, then someone in the other house would fail. Now i have a Sim who is suspended because of this any I cannot re-enroll her.

  • I am having the same issue. From reading just this one thread seems like I am not the only one having huge issues not only with this pack but also with playing rotationaly in general. There are some things I think definitely shouldn't be happening "off camera" as it were. The University system is one of them. On a related note I've just had an issue with the game counting weekends in it's term days: I was never able to hand in my sim's presentation for her final semester, causing her to get a D- in that class and dropping her average from like A++ (if that's a thing, not sure how American grades work) to a B- ☹️

I am only now experiencing the same issue and found this thread. It is kinda frustrating to see that people have been experiencing this for such a long time without there being a fix, yet another EP has been released. Since it has been a while, does anyone know of any updates/workarounds that have been discovered so far that I might have missed? Thanks 🙂

The latest version of UI Cheats Extension mod fixes this issue, not automatically, though. Once again, thanks to modders and shame to EA.

  • Well it would of been too good to be true for this to ever be fixed, and btw their plenty of links for mods in this thread, and you not suppose to give links to 3rd party mods on this board.

@Citysim9997  From my side I've just provided the name of the mod, not a link. And I don't blame others who provided links - what else is left when EA is unable to fix their game?

But go ahead and report them if you really wish to be a douche.
