Hello - having the same problem. This was a bug earlier near the end of 2020. It was resolved with the patch update in November:
The Sims 4
- Freelancer Sims now can complete Gigs they have signed up for and harvest the fruits of their labor. Simoleons, Simoleons, Simoooleons… SIMOOOLEOOONS.
However now we are experiencing the same problem again. Exactly the same as before. I can join the career and select a gig. I can chat with the client and create the deliverable but after it is submitted to the client, nothing happens. I've also noticed that the Freelancer Career Panel is not responsive. Most of what I have to do, I end up needing to the use the phone or item directly. Can't use the "new gig button" or "trash".
