Same here. I used to Instant Upgrade items, and then when the Sim was about to add H2O siphoner (whether using Eco upgrade parts or plumbing upgrade parts) on a bathtub, it won't work.

Is this relating to a shower tub combo? There's an existing bug report about sims being unable to do the upgrades from Eco Lifestyle because the sim pops up a routing blocked animation, and the same thing happens if you try to repair a broken shower bathtub combo.

Something with the latest patch seems to have broken the ability for sims to route to those tubs for those particular actions. I've seen normal upgrades and normal use interactions on the tub like shower or take bath working fine. Just those upgrade and repair actions seem to fail.

@Jan_831  well, apparently it's affecting all bathtubs, not just combos.

I am having a lot of problems with all appliances with regard to repairing.  I have sell them when they break and get new ones, but this is new for me and only since Cottage Living.

This bug is especially annoying when the tub breaks and you've got no choice but to buy a new one altogether. Hope it gets fixed soon.

I found a work around that works when it comes to upgrading the tubs, I don't know if it'll work with other objects that some have reported have the same issue as well though.

If the Sim has the "Handy" trait, which is earned via the nerdy brain aspiration, or one can cheat and just add it, the Sim gets an "instant upgrade" option in their pie menu, and using that will allow the sim to install the water recycling.  There is two catches however, the "instant upgrade" choice will have the sim install all the upgrades except for any of the upgrades that involve using fuel instead, and the second catch, there's a cool down period to "instant upgrade",I heard Sims only can do one "instant upgrade' every 24 Sims hours, but I just found the work around, so I can't verify the exact time it takes before option is no longer greyed out.

In short, the handy workaround will help and feel free to tell others on other sites if you want to, I know many on Reddit have reported the issue but I don't have an account there, or on any other Sims site other than Discord.
