I had this same issue and actually went on this page to find out what the * was going on. What I found to be the issue was the Lin-Z Smart Speaker. After I deleted it, the issue just went away. Maybe it’s something to do with the new electronics.

I also noticed this on the traveling issue. Started when I placed the speaker and stopped when I deleted it.
I saw your comment about an hour ago about the lin-Z Smart Speaker, so I decided to delete mine from my household an hour ago. I've been playing for an hour now and everything is running fine and I'm traveling with no problems. I'll let the thread know if anything changes within the next day.
I just did the visit method that was mentioned above to get my sim back to her and it worked, then I removed the smart speaker and tried to travel to a lot!!
I was able to travel!!!!

Deleting the Lin-Z smart speakers from my house also worked.
Hmm I wonder if and why the smart speaker is causing this. If this is the case this should be easy to fix. I haven't tested my game yet. I did purchase a smart speaker before traveling.
I was going to test and I can't even load into my save now. When I try to load my household I get error 102. Guess error 102 finally corrupted the only save I had. I even tried deleting the localthumb catche and that didn't work. So I can't even get into the household to delete the smart speaker. Today it played fine on the home lot.

In which household did you place them ? In the one that's not loading ? I can't find them there.
I placed it in my single sim's (Natalie Brownie) apartment and began encountering the error code immediately when traveling with her. I removed it while trying to find any possible solution and I haven't encountered a single error code with her since.
I didn't place one anywhere with "The Brownie Family." I hadn't loaded their house at all after the patch until I tried to load it and discovered that it always gave me the error code. I have no idea why they became unplayable. ☹️

Yes, she comes over to my sim's apartment like every day. The rest of her family hardly ever comes over, so I don't think they visited at all while the speaker was there.
today i decided to make a new save so i could add all the new items from the patch in. i made an elderly woman, her son, his wife, and their daughter. i went to travel with the man of the house to another lot when i got the error. so i restarted the game. i tried agian and it still gave me the error. so i loaded a 3rd time and chose a different lot, this time he traveled. i traveled to the 1st lot after and it worked. so i dont know whats going on. i do have the speaker in the house because i was testing it out. i havent tried any old saves yet. ive only played for a bit with this new family. ill keep playing to see if i still have problems. i will try deleting the speakers and loading other saves to see if i can narrow the problem down. hopefully they will fix this soon.

So maybe, when she came over, she started a relationship with the Lin-Z and once you deleted that, it left her bugged ... plausible explanation to me so far (and yes of course, shouldn't happen).

That makes sense. I deleted the speaker and re-added the family to my save and I haven't encountered the error code at all since. Not once.
Hopefully I'm not jinxing myself.
Don't buy the speakers again .. for now.

You should be able to enter the lot in buy/build from the map
@crinrictI did place that speaker on two of my lots. I moved from one lot to the other, so the lot that I moved from shouldn't have the speaker anymore since all the furniture went to the household inventory. The strange thing is though, that the household that has the speaker in their home is not affected by the bug and the households that are affected do not have the speaker.
Edit: After deleting the speaker from my household I am still not able to play as the other two affected households. I am not sure whether some sims in the affected households had a relationship with the speaker. They did come to my house, so they might have talked to it causing them to bug out.
I think that for the complete corruption that you are seeing, the relationship to Lin-Z somehow got corrupted. So maybe your affected Sims visited that lot when you had them, might have started a relationship which got corrupted when the speaker was moved to the household inventory ?

On the map there is a small hammer and wrench icon next to the play button. That way you can enter build mode from the map.

Hello Crin I"ll go ahead and send it to you now anyway before I go to work. I still can't load into the family this morning. I copied the save directly from the game.Before I saved yesterday I had my sim change the season from Fall to Winter on the Weather Machine. I also updated Lily with additional everyday outfits and I deleted Winterfest on the calendar and moved it up to a closer day and added Christmas Eve as well.
