I'm having this same issue, too; with and without mods installed. When I take out my mods folder, it includes everything; even any overrides I may have added and, still, food spoils in the fridge as though they'd been left on the counters. I was loving the simple living lot trait because busy work makes the game a little more interesting but this spoils it (pun intended).
Just started having this issue after the patch - with or without mods installed. Even when I pull all the mods out & start a completely new save this is an issue
For those getting this error and playing with mods (but didn't have any mods about inventory sharing) any careers by adeepindigo were causing the fridge issue for me. Don't ask why those would cause fridge issues but I narrowed it to the careers. Once they were removed, everything worked as it should. Hope this helps someone!
Me too! It just started after the recent patch!
Edit: I don’t have an career mods.
Edit 2: I don’t have career Mods, and the mods I do have were update after the last EA update. It was right after that update that my fridges were no longer able to keep food fresh. Groceries are way too expensive for my Sims to be throwing out leftover food daily.
