• Are you sure that all of the goals were done, approved, and submitted by the due date for the job?
• Has this happened for more than one job?
• Do you have any Mods or CC?
• When did you begin to see this issue?

Yes, I'm am absolutely sure all goals should have been fulfilled. For example, three goals might be to 'study reference images' (which is to be done on the Sims's computer), 'create the forgery' (via the digital sketchbook), and 'send for approval' (by clicking on the artwork in the sim's inventory). For each one, you get that ping to say it's complete along with the ticked box on the career panel. You also get the notification to say the work has been approved... then that's it, with no payment or notification that gives the 'feedback' from who commissioned it. Once I returned to the main menu and opened up the family again to find the career panel empty but I don't think my sim was paid.

It has happened for two jobs, but not consecutively. I can't see a pattern in when it happens, it just looks random at this point.

I have just recently played with this career having this issue. I've played the freelance careers before with no problem. I'd say I noticed the issue about a day ago.

@HCSau Can you please try doing another job and track whether you get paid but maybe just not the notification about the payment? I will also try to reproduce in my game. Please let me know how your test goes also. Thank you!

Edit: I have just completed a freelancer gig with my sim. I did find that when I had completed the last task (in my case it was a Fashion Photographer), I had the 'gig' notice checklist open, and the list disappeared and the money entered the household funds, but there was no notification on the wall either to tell me the gig was successfully completed or to tell me that the payment has been added to my household funds. If this type of notification used to be there for you upon gig completion and you are also not seeing these final notifications in your follow-up test, you could create a bug report on this issue. If you do this, please add a note and link to the report here to tell me that you have created a report. I could then look into getting this thread merged into the bug report, and I could 'me too' the report. This way others could add 'me too's to the bug report if others are having this issue, and EA will become aware of it.

I have this issue as well but my tasks don’t log as completed but my sim completes them. Sometimes I will have her try it again she competes it and still doesn’t log as completed. I’ve had the programmer and writer careers. Both have the same thing happen. She is a spell caster.

Did you go through multiple gigs? I am playing the Freelancer Artist and the first few gigs went completely fine. Now, I create concepts and get them approved by the clients but the gig doesn’t complete. The tasks don’t get checked off and the count doesn’t increase. I have tried restarting the game. 

I have this bug as well and the freelancer gigs work perfectly as long as I don't travel between taking the gig and completing it. If I travel inbetween I can't finish the gig, don't get paid and have to cancel it. I had the writer freelance career. This has been an issue for me since moschino patch I believe. 

all tasks are completed and ticked, but the gig is not completed or paid, can only be cancelled or would be hanging there forever. I'm playing freelance writer career. First thought it was because the character was pregnant, but after giving birth I tried again and the issue persists. Not able to complete any gigs whatsoever in spite of being completed.

Same thing happened to me. Everything up to date, no mods. Completed all the tasks for the Simply Crafted branch. Everything is marked as completed, but no payout and the job is still listed on my sim's work page.

This is exactly what’s happening to my sim. 

@virginiandiva Thank you for adding your information to the bug report. This report was up before recent patches, so it's good to have updated experiences added to let the EA gurus know that the issue still exists - and about possible changes in the dynamics of the bug since the recent patches.

Mine is also doing this, I play on the PS4, it’s been doing it since the last update.

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except Journey to Batuu
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Put a sim in world Have them join the freelancer career under electrified artist Accept a gig Complete all the tasks
What happens when the bug occurs? Once you complete all the tasks, there is no gig payout and it doesn't end. The only way it is is when you fail it after the deadline or when you delete it.
What do you expect to see? to do all the task and have my sims get paid
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

When putting my sim into the electrified artist freelancer career, she completes all the tasks but never receives the money for it and keeps failing the gigs. 

Hello, I am playing The Sims 4 on Playstation 4. I am having the same exact problem. Freelance Digital Artist. Complete all tasks, then turn in. Notification says approved. No payment, and gig is still showing in career panel. I quit the job 3 times now, trying a new gig, and it still happens. I have done this career before, never had any issues. maybe over a month ago it was working properly.

I am seeing a similar issue, started freelance career today, and although I completed everything and had a message saying it was exactly what they were looking for (fabricated rug) the gig did not clear, and I was not paid. I've noticed a few bugs on the same game (bits and pieces displaying as zero when hovering over the recycler or fabricator, but showing the correct value when hovering over household funds, which started the day the game updated with the star wars pack release) and being part way though a knitting project and unable to either continue or cancel. I haven't  reloaded the game as of yet to see if that has cleared either of the newer problems, but the bits and pieces is consistent, and my partner mentioned having similar issues with freelance lately. For me it has thus far been every time that it has not worked. Also won't clear after expiry (though I had finished all tasks)

@SheriGR After the last patch it started for me....Someetime in september....
