Re: [FIXED] Game Crashing when Placing Retails/Lots with mannequins

It happens in my game as well. Every single lot with mannequins causes my game to crash. It's really frustrating because I literally can't play with clothing stores ... As far as I am seeing this is happening since July, now it's October and we still don't have a fix for that ... Is EA going to fix this bug/error soon? 

@sakurawolff Same here! I had to quit my game without saving because I accidentally deleted the floor and lagged my game, reloaded, and thought oh thank god I saved the lot so saving the game wouldn't matter.........then just remembered I can't place any lots with mannequins without crashing. 

This bug needs to be prioritized it literally ruins the game for a lot of people. I have over 10 retail stores in my game and spend my time building them. This has ruined the Sims 4 for me and I refuse to play any longer until it's fixed.

I tried to duplicate this issue in my vanilla game with all packs but so far with no effect. I placed a self-built ready-to play department store (Town Life Mall in my gallery) full of dressed mannequins in several worlds in build mode and map view and it didn't crash. Perhaps just luck.

Maybe it's a luck, because I tried with several lots that don't have any cc and the game still crashes. I can place other lots though, which don't contain mannequins. 

As has been pointed out by others many of the gallery retail stores with mannequins crash the game now. I've even tried saving the default stores from Magnolia Promenade and then placing them again and still the game crashes. I've no idea when this all started but still very disappointed at how little EA seem to care about fixing these sort of game breaking bugs ☹️

Yeah every time Maxis releases a bug fix list, I'm eagerly looking if it is finally mentioned, but still no actions :.( 

I'm so sad, Mannequins in people's gallery builds are such a beautiful feature that I'm missing a lot. Once this is hopefully fixed I'll make a whole street just with new clothing shops from the gallery and go all day shopping 🙂 Can't wait for that moment 😍

And have a look at the reports that are in this bug report, as this crash also has a connected Error coming up when you have a mannequin successfully on the npc-owned retail lot, but a customer buys the clothing away, and you leave the lot in this state - this creates an error popup when you try to come back to that Sim. I posted exact repro steps in one of the answers here with lots of exception data and all, I hope it helps while fixing the mannequin bug 🙂
