@potatolv That's so odd. I would think that if a mod was going to cause an issue like this, it would be a script mod. Do you use a lot of CC? We could compare mods to see if we have one in common that could be a culprit? I don't use that many - the ones I'm using in my new save are mostly the same ones I used in my old broken save.

There were a few CC files I ditched simply because I wasn't using the items in them much and I was redoing my mods folder anyway, so I cleaned them out. Pretty sure the CC ones I got rid of were just a few piercings, tattoos, and freckles packages. I did, however, get rid of several package files that added new traits to the game - I figure those count more as gameplay mods than CAS CC(?), but still worth mentioning. 

Idk, at this point I'm just really curious what we all have in common that might trigger this bug, if anything at all.

    @bubonickittenI have a TON of CAS cc, much less furniture - I'm comfortable removing the folder altogether because I try not to use custom content in my builds at all so I can upload them to the gallery more easily. I would have thought it would be a script mod too, but they seem to be fine? I only have ones like MCCC and UI Cheats (the latter of which I've seen gurus use during showcase streams as recently as Dream Home Decorator), but removing the files associated with these hasn't fixed the issue.

    I have a lot of cc hairs, so I thought maybe having hairs that were incompatible with the new swatches might... somehow affect it (though having unique hairs with only one swatch has never caused any problems before)? But removing that folder didn't do anything either.

    I'm not sure how we could compare, since I have so much CAS cc in my mods folder, but... I can try?

    I do have a few careers that were buggy so I deleted those, and a few trait mods as well, but no more than 10 custom traits - I haven't actually tried removing the traits, but I guess that Could be a cause? I'm not sure.

  • @potatolv  Thinking about it now, might just be easier for me to list the ones I ditched? Since there really aren't that many, now that I'm comparing my old mods folder to my new one.

    Here are the mods I used with my original broken save file, but am not using in the new (so far unbugged) save:

    - KisaFayd's Facial Scars

    - a few of KisaFayd's tattoo packages (I still use some others)

    - kellyhb5's Alien Eyes Overhaul (using their other alien eyes mod now)

    - chingyu1023's More Traits mods

    - Kuttoe's New Emotional Traits and New Hobby Traits mods

    - r3m's UFO Hotspot Lot Trait

    - cyclelegs' Faster Eating and Drinking

    - GalaxyVic's Imaginative Trait

    - AOM's Selectable Pets (this one includes a script mod)

    - Spazmunki13's Hide or Reveal Pet Quirks

    Do you see anything you recognize?

    @bubonickittenUHHH, I know I have an eyebrow piercing mod, I wouldn't be surprised if it was that one, but I would be surprised if that was causing the issue... But I don't really recognize any of the others.

    @im_JoelSFI did see plenty of people also saying they didn't use any mods, but using the exact same lot in HoB, AND the 50x40 lot, with or without wild foxes, I only have the issue with my mods turned on. It may be a certain type of item then, rather than specifically CC? Weird, either way...

    I think this was dismissed a while ago, but I have never received the welcome wagon in HoB, but a friend of mine playing the new pack did get it without any issues, so I'm not sure this is a related issue.

  • @potatolv  Yeah I don't see how an eyebrow piercing CC would cause this bug. Huh. Oh well.

    This is driving me bonkers, lol. Seems like there are some commonalities in the reports in this thread, but... so far, it doesn't seem like there's one single thing to point at as the cause, especially if there are people still encountering the issue without any mods/CC at all. I... kind of wish EA would say something about it? So far there are 60+ "me toos" in this thread, so... not exactly a rare report, as far as game-breaking bugs go. I know there was an EA support post upthread asking for mod/CC-free saves for testing purposes. My broken save initially used mods/CC, so I didn't submit my save file. I wonder if anyone else submitted one for them to look at?

    @bubonickitten I have none of those mods and still getting the problem. ☹️ I am starting to give up on the game. It is very frustrating when it is the pack you have been waiting to play and cannot.

    As far as foxes, I see them running up to my lots and then disappearing.  I really think this has something to do with the foxes.  I have removed all of the wild fox traits.  I can't tell if anything is fixed because I don't have MCC to remove the households.  Also I am still getting an error from better exceptions that appears to be EA related.  Today I saw a TON of mushrooms spawn by the ruins in Henford.  I mean it looked like an unusual amount like a cluster of 14 to pick I would say.  I really think there is something going with the world settings.
