@ndomogala The workaround is posted on the first page, but I copied it here for you:
- Cancel any stuck gigs you already have. You won't be able to complete them
- Get a new gig
- If you don't have the perk that allows you to skip auditions, you're allowed to travel until you have to go to the audition. I would make sure you're on the home lot before the audition starts.
- Do not travel, Go to CAS, the Map, Household Manager or reload the save game until you get the pop-up to go to work. No Loading screens allowed between the audition and the gig.
- It's no problem to let the the Sim go to the audition or other rabbit hole events. If you have another active career you play in that household, always send the Sim alone.
- Once you get the gig pop-up you can join the Sim at the set and do the task there. There should be no problem fulfilling them.
- You can then travel again until you get the next gig.
- You can save your game in between but not re-load or turn off.
For anyone where these steps don't work, please make sure you remove all your mods and test on a vanilla game to make sure it's not a mod issue.
It's a pain of a workaround and it didn't work for me, either. I hope this comes up in a bug-fix soon. I wonder if it's related to Discover University? I had my Sim study Drama and then start working a week after graduation. I switched her to Comedian because the workaround seemed like such a pain. I'll try again when her daughter ages up and test out the workaround then.
OK, so it worked for the daughter, but having to avoid going into CAS or having your Sims live their lives just isn't doable. This needs to actually be fixed. I will do further testing tomorrow night to see if it's now repaired itself by getting her a second gig and doing normal life...
It's the one about not loading CAS or traveling or closing your game or anything--stay on your lot the entire time between the moment you accept the gig and the moment it takes you there. I was going nuts because a toddler aged up and I wanted to fix her as a child and had to wait for the gig...it's been reposted multiple times, so try going back a page or two within the thread.
It worked for the new Sim anyhow...
has this bug been fixed? It's incredibly annoying not being able to travel or anything and honestly, such a waste of money. I really like it, but this bug is just too much for me :'(
