I have tried more than a 100 times, it just won't work. This isn't a 25% chance, this is 0% LOL. Before the last patch all my male scientist got pregnant after a couple of tries, now none of them will get pregnant. I can't remember how many times I've forced abductions, reloaded the game, it just doesn't work.
Maybe I should avoid buying a lottery ticket 😉
Gooochyee, I don't understand the question... If you mean, do I make new saves every time a Sim gets abducted? No, when my Sim is being abducted I save the game, I wait a couple of SIM days and if nothing happens I just go to the main menu without saving and then reload the game with the same Sim being abducted and try again.
As you can imagine I sometimes get bored playing the same Sim over and over again, then I load another household and try getting another male Sim abducted.
I now use the stats.set_stat commodity_alienabduction_cooldown 0 and interactions.push AlienAbductions_BeAbducted cheats. That's quicker than waiting until "it" happens.
Meanwhile I've had males abducted 4 or 5 times in a row in a same session (meaning I don't leave the game): not pregnant. I managed to get all types of males abducted hundreds of times, one of them should be pregnant by now. I have tested "regular Sims" and "spell casters".
I also checked old games (from before the patch) in which I have male Sims who have been abducted and pregnant several times, but they also fail to attract the alien pollinator's attention...
Either I'm the unluckiest person in the world, either there's something wrong with the (my?) game.
Hi @croc4854 I don't use mods but I recall MCCC has a setting that toggles alien pregnancy chances in some way.
That mod would have been updated after the recent patches.
Do you happen to use MCCC? Is it possible the alien pregnancy settings got changed or reset in the latest update without your noticing?
Hi Mightyspritesims, I have only recently used the cheats to increase the chances of abduction. I don't know of any mod that would toggle alien pregnancy. I will check it out. I will reinstall mods if I find it. Thanks for the tip.
My Sim's pregnancy failure is a real enigma.
IT JUST DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE, male scientists (extraterrestrial explorers) don't get pregnant since last patch. I tested thoroughly, got a male Sim abducted 60 times! over a period of 1 Sim year. No pregnancy. I didn't use Mods, just the get abducted cheats. I even "repaired" the game.
I guess I'll have to wait until someone else reports this and the bug will be fixed. I give up.
