I didn't try. 🤦♀️ It didn't occur to me as an actual option. I can test this. I'll try with one of my Households with a teen.
I've had this same problem the last 4 proms. I did actually try travelling and it's just the generic auditorium, no prom happening

Sorry it took me so long to check this. My Sim had already aged up and had to wait on my Sim's daughter to age up. So voila! Here I am. And... Got the travel to prom notification and the same thing happened; she didn't go. I traveled to the auditorium and not a soul in sight. I will try and go to the pre-prom event next Prom and see if I can travel to prom from there.

But this sounds a but different as you get the prompt but the prom is not taking place whereas in the other thread they never get prompted. It is a bit of a collection though. - Nozladi3 years agoNew Veteran@crinrict Okay. More exploring has taken place. So I go the prompt, wouldn't be allowed to travel, travel to auditorium, no prom. Next Saturday, turned off aging to see if that is still the problem. Voila! Traveled me to prom. Experiment #3, took the invitation to before prom activity. Stay until prompt to go to prom, and VOILA! Again, took me to prom. So for some reason, I cannot go to prom from the home lot unless I turn off aging; which I thought had been fixed. The work around is to go to the before prom gathering. I'll try again the next Saturday I get and see if it works 2 for 2.
