It's one of these issues that are very hard to duplicate.
I'm unsure if I should start collecting specs to see if there's a pattern.
Does it matter what save game you play ?

I'm having this problem as well. I stared getting it a few days ago when I started playing the sims 4 again after a 6 montth break. I didn't have this problem last year when I played the sims 4.
(I've had a similar problem in the sims 3, but in 3 it was sound effects looping instead of music, also a known issue.)
As the others have mentioned the only way to get rid of it is to quit and restart the game.
I've tried changing every sound setting and music setting but the problem remains.Just quitting to the main menu doesn't help, you need to completely quit the sims 4.
If you enter a loading screen or build mode the music stuck in a loop continues while the other music plays as normal, and then ends when you enter live mode again. This results in double music during the time you are in buildmode or loading screen.
It's the music playing at 2:50 in the youtube video that is looping in game for me this time. I think it's been that melody every time but I'm not sure.

I'm playing on a MSI GE60 MS-16GA laptop and with a HD Audio, Realtek ALC888S soundcard (I think so atleast)
