Re: [FIXED] Lot information icon shining all the time as if something there was new

@Ania123451512 Did you install any new packs ? Did you click on the lot icon and also on the lot traits/challanges ?

If you have a brand new Sims 4 folder it happens, but if you have an old folder from before the Cottage Living patch...then you won't have the issue. Try following the steps for a folder refresh (Don't delete you old folder) but try that and you will see the bug.

Hello!  I just got a new PC and noticed this happens in my game now.  I installed TS4 first and made sure it was working.  Then I added in all my saves and tray files from a thumb drive.  I did not copy the old TS4 folder, though, just the saves and tray.  Now the venue info button glows as if there is something new, as others have described.  I too clicked through all venues, options and traits; to include the challenges.

I agree with @SimplyDeeSims that it's only happening with the new TS4 folder.  I retrieved my old TS4 folder and put it in place of the new one, which I moved to a temporary folder outside of the EA folder.  Then I opened the game and loaded a lot for building to find the glow was gone.

As @joekanet said, it's a minor annoyance but definitely distracting.

I also did the same thing where I restored my save and tray files and then had the glow. around the venue info symbol when in build mode. I reinstalled an entire old version of the EA folder that I had saved on an external drive that it fixed the issue for me but I've seen comments that this is an issue on console as well and this solution clearly will not work for those in that situation. I know it's not a game breaking issue but it was very distracting.

There must be something in that old set of files that was ommitted in the newer versions, and now the game doesn't know everything 'new' has already been clicked.

At this point I just wish someone would share their 'old' user folder with me, but I guess there could be privacy/security concerns here, as I'm not 100% sure if these files don't contain any sensitive personal data.

I really hope this gets fixed soon...if someone has a copy of what I should have to replace to get it to fix it, please send. If not I understand.
