- crinrict3 years agoHero+@Arilaffis Do you received the constant message only after they grown up to toddlers/infants or were they also constant as infants ?
I'm guessing in core, it's this issue: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Infant-traits-not-properly-removed/td-p/12387325
The traits didn't get properly removed.
Which quirk messages do you get ? - Jonalinn3 years agoSeasoned Ace
I have been experiencing this same bug since Growing Together was released. I receive an incessant, constant barrage of quirk notifications. The notification wall fills within minutes because the quirk notifications will populate continuously. It's not unusual to receive 4+ per minute.
Imo, this is not related to basic game mods (clothing, drapes, etc.) I have this game running on a gaming computer with a few clothing mods and one version running on another gaming computer that is pure vanilla with just the game itself (no mods). The same exact thing is happening on both systems (Win 11 and Win 10).
In addition to this issue, the children can not do their homework as it doesn't exist in their inventories.

I do believe this is the same issue as the one I linked above.
Could you try this cheat: traits.remove_Trait trait_Hidden_Infant_Element_FrequentlySneezes and see if that removes the messages ? - Jonalinn3 years agoSeasoned Ace
Thank you @crinrict for the helpful homework advice, I will try that!
Let me enter your buff suggestion and report back to you.
As an aside, I'm wondering if there might be other issues related to the pack? When my first child was born in-game, I hired a nanny for a few hours. He never left. A few days later, I started noticing an older female in the house and I was surprised to see she was also a nanny (I never hired her so I have no idea why she appeared). More odd than that, both nannies never left their "jobs" and remained with the family through 5 children who have grown into pre-teens.

Yes, but no.
- I hired one nanny.
No one in the family traveled to another lot or location.
No nanny has called me asking for any advice on a new job, etc.
No new nannies (knock on wood) have appeared since the original two.
I did try firing the 2nd nanny and she took it graciously. However, the joke was on me because she showed up the very next day. And, as I've mentioned, the 2 nannies have remained with this family through 5 children.
I am still testing the buff and will report back. The homework directive worked great ~ thank you for that!

Nannies waiting until morning.
- crinrict3 years agoHero+@Jonalinn There's several threads for nannies not working. Check the compiled list, maybe there's one that fits your issue.

Thank you @crinrict , I will do that 😊

Good morning @crinrict ,
As promised, I am here to report back. Your code did indeed work to suppress the "Frequently Sneezes" notifications.. so thank you! However, they have been replaced by "Early Riser" lol! Any ideas for that one? Building off your piece of code, I did try this: traits.remove_Trait trait_Hidden_Infant_Element_EarlyRiser ... but it didn't work for me.
Again, thank you for all your help with these issues!
- crinrict3 years agoHero+@Jonalinn are you opposed to mods ? If not, you can try MCCC, that should help you just remove the trait or you can get Show Sims Info by frankk (not the MTS version, that's outdated) and check under hidden traits what the correct name of the trait is.
- Jonalinn3 years agoSeasoned Ace
I appreciate your response and suggestion but I've never played with MCCC and would prefer not to. Is it naive to rely on EA to fix this?
- @Jonalinn thanks that worked brilliantly

@guitarmouse You are most welcome! 🙂
I'm also getting this with a teen that used to have the cautious trait as a child. I have MCCC and I've attempted to remove a few buffs I've seen the sim have but the game immediately re-adds those buffs back in. If the sim still has the cautious trait, it's impossible to even see it on the sim. MCCC and the Shift+Click menu hide traits that aren't for that life stage which is likely a byproduct of the game. I've attempted to just use the console to remove the trait from "traits.remove_trait cautious".
