Re: [FIXED] [PS/XB] Game constantly crashing (Patch 1.69)

My game keeps crashing on PS4. I can play for maybe 10 minutes and the game will crash in live mode. Current save is in Evergreen Harbor and the textures and shapes are glitching and stretching across the screen in the neighborhood as well.

I personally love the build mode. I learned you can adjust the speed of the cursor which was definitely needed. I’m on ps4 and my only issue is with the crashing so far. It only crashes when I’m in live mode. If I don’t click anything it doesn’t crash but as soon as I try to have my sim perform a task it crashes. 

i can play the sims for longer then 3 minutes or ill get kicked out of the game(only if i play but not if i build) to the homescreen of ps4 ive heard that more people have this problem

I’m not sure if this is just for the controller update or any bug we’ve been experiencing on console. But I’ve only ever played the sims on a console and it’s been an adjustment period when it comes to building with PC settings.

But my concern is (honestly just might be me) that when I try to load into my household at times the game just crashes; or loads into it but the streets, walls, and floors are just black voids. I don’t know why this happens, it’s happened less and less, but it occurs at times. 

Not sure if there’s already a known way to fix this and I’m just not in on it or something, but yeah. My console is up to date and so is my game.

I having the same issues since December. It would crash when trying to travel but after this update it became worse

Hello, I have all kits expansions and sims 4 content, im on xbox series x, shortly after 5 mins of gameplay, it freezes and takes me back to xbox home, im not sure weather the update triggered this, but my game is virtually unplayable at the moment, so not so happy about

This has been happening to me on xbox and there's no error message, it just kicks back to the home screen. I have power cycled the Xbox, deleted and reinstalled the game and add ons and even did the awful thing and deleted all of my saves.

Dear all,

Since the last update on The Sims 4 for PS4 (january 31, 2023) my game started to show the following error (CE-34878-0), causing the closing of the game. I can play around 15 to 20 minutes, then the game starts to run slow and the error occurs.

The game is a digital version, which I bought through Playstation online shop.

I am very sad, as I really enjoy playing this game, since the beggining of it. So, please, can you help me or will it have another update soon to solve this situation?

fix the crashes please i want to play sim

I’m am having this same issue!! As soon as my sim try’s to consult on a global policy the whole game shuts down and gives me an error code. 

Same here on my ps4 Pro. Gamevl was working 100% before the update. Tried rebuilding ps4 database, uninstalling and reinstalling. Even started a new sim and the game still crashes. ☹️ 

Definitely a game issue. Hope it gets fixed soon soon.

It's very frustrating dealing with the game crashing after this new update. I thought hmm maybe my save file was corrupted but i started a new save and no....it crashes too. I've tried different troubleshooting steps and nothing fixes this issue. For all of us who have bought everything spending well over a thousand plus dollars it's mind blowing that this continues to happen. Also i think there should be a feature that if we own a PC or another platform that we should be able to login to EA and download our games and play them.

With the new update, the mouse and keyboard no longer work as smoothly as they should. The game keeps crashing when performing special events. 😢

My game has crashed more than it has in over a year because of the new update - crashes 3 to 4 times in the span of an hour. I'm not sure why it's crashing, but I do feel they need to fix that and figure out why it'd crashing all the time. I play on the Xbox, I starred a brand new game and it still crashed. Sorry to hear you're also having problems and I hope that the devs can help you with your tickets. Same for PlayStation. All it does is crash and I can’t take it anymore ea needs to hurry up and fix this. 

so I realized when I’m CAS or Building it doesn’t crash, but when I went into live mode to play, it crashed in like 10 minutes. Also I forgot if I mentioned this or not but I play with a keyboard and mouse and when I click on the objects (while trying to click the swatches) the swatch bar goes away so I have to hit cancel and click it again. 

Ever since this latest update, it has not been fun playing my game. I’m not able to select different options for any build item the game crashes all my pictures either turned blank or black from my inventory and gallery. How are you going to expect us to buy a new expansion pack. If we’re not able to play our current game accurately. 

Hi since the last update. 1.69. My sims crash within 20 minutes after starting the game. It seems to happen random. And it won't save the game. Iḿ so dissapointed. Love to play sims, but this way is not very playeble anymore.... What to do to fix this? I hope you can help me with this

After I did an update every time I add a ready room from gallery it takes ages to build it. You can easily choose it in gallery but as soon as you decide to put into your parcel it literally take ages to do it.. I did not have this issue before an update..

Since the newest update the game keeps crashing on the xbox X.. every 15/20 minutes the game crashes… i hope this will be fixed because i really wanna try the new controls and expansions!
