yeah, I even went into the manage world after i went into the household and saw that she was missing and she was gone from the family entirely, I hope they figure out what is wrong!

I'm having the exact same issue. And the sims in question also is a father winter's baby.
So, let's start by saying I didn't see that thing about removing mods before updating the game. Now, they were disabled when I loaded the game, though, because EA is nice and does it automatically. But still the bug appeared : one of my sims disappeared. It's happened only in this family, too, no problem with the other ones, I tried them all, so no worries for you.
Here's how it is : when in the first menu I pick the family I want to play with, the sim is there. Then I load, and the sim is still there when I go for selecting the lot the family lives on. But when I start playing, it is completely removed from existence. The siblings don't know her anymore, it's just erased. Absolutely gone.
Since it's here until I start playing, is there a way of recovering it maybe ?
I tried loading a previous version of the save : did the same thing with the same sims.
If someone has a tip, that be really nice.
- I don't know if both of you had mods, or if it was also a father winter's baby ? Maybe one of this thing is the culprit.
I don't use any mods, but my sim was also father winters baby
- Before you go into the family you can access them in the "Manage Household" from the town map to get them into CAS. I have a sim that this is happening to as well and I used this work around to save a copy of the family to the gallery. I figure this way I can have a backup until this Father Winter's baby glitch is resolved.

I haven't played my family with a father winter baby since the update (I only went briefly on to check out the foundation tool in a different household) and I just loaded up to do as you suggested in manage households but my sim has already vanished. Luckily I did make a backup of my saves so I won't lose much if I go back to that save when this is fixed.
ETA so I went back and put in my backup save instead and went straight to manage households before any thing else and my sim was still in her household so save to gallery worked this time, at least I can carry on my game without losing my sim and put her back when this is fixed!
