I'm having the same issue.

For anyone who wants to know, there is a cheat to retire a sim:

careers.retire careername

(I would recommend looking up the career promotion cheats and copy/paste it, but change "promote" to "retire")

    I have the same issue (I have clicked Me Too) and even the cheat doesn't work 🤔

    @Aimstar87 Are you sure you put the correct career name ? Cheat worked fine for me

    What career is your Sim in ?

    Has anyone found a work around?

    I tried careers.retire Adult_Active_Green_Technician but it doesn't do anything - the phone option to retire just resets the Sim.
