No, it doesn't matter whether you have bb.moveobjects on or not; this happens for everything. There is a new behavior, though. They'll kind of stop in front of an object in their way and stutter-step until they can get around or through an object. That includes other Sims, walls, stairs, furniture, etc. Also funny but annoying!
Not sure if this fits here, if not feel free to put it elsewhere. Recently I noticed that sims grab food through walls. First I saw it once when I clicked on the hunger bar of my sim, she would go to the neighboring room and from there pick the food which was placed behind the wall in the room next to it. It went so fast that I wasn't sure if my observation was correct. However in my current game I have a toddler room which is locked for kids and teenagers. When I click the hunger bar of the kids, they walk to the wall of the toddler room where the food is, kneel down (!) and reach with their hand through the wall to get the food from there. I then placed the toddler food in the middle of the room. The kids still did the same thing. Kneel down next to the wall, move their hand through the wall and magically draw one serving from the locked room.
*Edit: Forgot to mention: There is enough freely accessible food in the kitchen. They just choose the food which is nearest, no matter if the room is locked.
I have this problem too! Or they will run trough the entire room before they stop. Or they'll go to the object, run trough the wall and grab the object, or perform the animation through the wall. Like picking up kids from the other side of the wall 😂🤔. It is pretty annoying indeed.

I recently started a new playthrough in the Sims 4, I started the game in San Myshuno City and noticed one Sim went right through my apartment, ignoring the walls and doors. Then another sim Mika Ojo hung around the sofa, and when she hung down she went to clean the toilet.
It was impossible to kick her out, since everyone knows perfectly well that you can only kick her out if another sim came to visit the game sim, and not when he got into the player’s home due to an incorrectly laid path.
just recently started on a game I have played for well over a year. I have no mods. very few packs etc. loaded. it began about the same time my infants started intermittently stretching in Growing Together. have run repair on program 2x with no improvement
This has become much worse in my game since patch 1.78 and/or adding Horse Ranch. Sims and horses are walking through walls and each other. In a retail lot today there were customers and staff dancing the dance from Horse Ranch as if there were no walls. I managed to get an image of it happening.
Edit: I got an image of one of my horses walking into the kitchen through the wall too.
