- crinrict6 years agoHero+@amieloos I haven't been able to duplicate the issue.
Does your Sim eat and drink at the same time or only with eating Are you playing the sims on PS4?
Im not sure if you have to have the gluttony trait.my other sims don’t have this and they are all fine and no problems with them.
I have deleted the sim from the house hold and so far things are fine. It was a pre made sim from the eco expansion.
The lag is slightly better too but the eco expansion seems to have made it worse don’t know if it’s got something to do with it
- crinrict6 years agoHero+@amieloos I'm not but many in this thread aren't either so I doubt that's the issue.
I tested one save that supposingly had the issue but there was no glutton trait on that Sim and I also had no issues Must be something on the eco expansion on PS4 version
This happens to me too, hope it’s fixed soon

It's not just ps4 though, I play on pc. I don't have the new expansion pack installed yet, but I've had the issue since the patch that came with it.
This happened to me for the first time today.
I have a sim I'm putting through the Super Sim challenge, who has Forever Full and doesn't need to eat. For a bit of fun, I decided to test out the new Death by Beetles from mixology.
(NB: I mention that she has forever full because I haven't had her eat anything else and I don't know which other dishes are affected for her.)
I made her some ambrosia and had it in the fridge ready to go, but when I told her to eat it she just got stuck looping the animation, eating forever. A repair game didn't fix it and she can't be resurrected because she never stops eating.
Fortunately I had set it up as a separate testing save, but otherwise it would have been a disaster.

I found that it happens if your sim has leftovers in the refrigerator, then goes to another lot. When the return home, the countdown timer for going spoiled disappears, and if you sim goes to eat the food after that, is when the sim wont stop eating, and the activity fulfillment circle freezes at 75%. It does not happen to food left on the counter.

@randy2355 So basically this issue: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/NEEDS-INPUT-Expire-Date-on-food-vanishes-when-put-in-fridge/td-p/9178858 ?
For me those get eaten too but maybe there's multiple factors that lead to the issue.
- dolldrms16 years agoSeasoned Ace@crinrict I am seeing this in my game but only on food where the eating action was cancelled and the plate then put away into the fridge by a sim. When the plate of put away food is retrieved to eat later, the won't stop eating hits. The progress bar goes to either 3/4 of the way and stops, or, won't start at all like what is occurring with movies on tv now.
IIRC from yesterday when I saw this, a partially eaten plate resulted in the 3/4 of the way stop and a cancelled eat action before the sim had taken a bite resulted in the progress bar not starting at all even though the hunger bar filled.
