Re: [FIXED] Sims age up/go back in age/days added/reduced

@hobbyholly76 If you didn't load a backup after the bug happened, they will still age up since they are all ready to age up. Yes, you will loose all progress you made since playing but it was always said that you need to revert to a backup if your Sim is already affected by the bug.

To me it sounds you were affected and turned off aging on the affected save, is that correct ?

The issue was as follows: Every Sim got added a random amount of days to their age span if you played on long/reduced if you were playing on short). This happened each time you loaded into Live mode. Meaning, when loading the game, going to CAS and back into the game, going to the map and back into the game or travelling to another lot. The only time it didn't happen was switching between build/live mode

There currently still have been issues report when playing on short that Sims are aging up because the length of the age spans were changed. Some also report their Sims are set back to beginning of the age span.

I really don't have any good suggestion for you if you don't want to loose that progress. There are mods that can help you set the age back to what it was but I assume you would not want to do that for all Sims that have aged up.

I'm going to move your posts over to the post-patch fallout thread. Maybe someone else has a good suggestion how to proceed

@49066r3abmad I moved your post in the current age bug 'fallout' thread. Could you please read the info I've written up so far and let me know if your issue is different (aka it happens still each time you go to CAS) or if you have any questions.

No I didn't load a backup. I've been playing sims for MANY years but I have no idea how to even do that, I never have had to. I have 2 save games...I never even entered the 2nd one after having all these issues with the first one...so I am going to assume that one also is going to be affected, seems like forever at this point. Last night I used a family to test, turned on aging, went to live mode, they all aged up instantly (this was after the patch), so I went to CAS and reverted their ages back. Their lifespan bars started over, but that did not resolve the problem. When restarting the game their lifespan bars are again filled to the max ready to age up as soon as I entered live mode, but I have aging off, if I turn it on they will just age up all over again. What I'm hearing here is that I will never be able to have aging turned on if I want to continue to play in the saves I've had for years. or that I have to use a backup, however that is done, and lose everything I've done in the game since the bug occurred.
