Re: [FIXED] Sims not visible to player teleport /abort interactions

Just tested this, at your request!

I knew just the house (I built it), so I took my redhead guy, Caleb (the one you saw in the video, appearing and disappearing) over to this house, and ran several tests.

Remember, the sim has to be invisible to the player for the glitch to occur. So I went upstairs and waited for him to appear in a room.

He appeared spontaneously, with the door rapidly opening and closing halfway across the room behind him. In other words, same glitch, with a door animation thrown in, as if he'd walked into the room and halfway across the carpet, except he didn't. Went back downstairs, went back upstairs. Three tests, same glitch. He appears on the spot from nowhere, looking casual and comfortable about his arrival there.

I CAN ADD TO WHAT I HAVE SEEN:

If you ask a sim to leave the lot -- going to work, for instance -- they will perform the action properly, without glitch. While still invisible to you, they will make the proper journey in the sensible amount of time to the front door, exit it normally and naturally, and depart. Perhaps this has to do with their destination being "elsewhere" (?).

I'm assuming at this point that calling this "teleporting" and "sims failing to complete actions while invisible to the player" are describing the same thing -- in fact, the same thing based on the amount of time the player waits.

Basically, if you wait and wait and don't move, they teleport.

But if you go back to them before they arrive at the new spot, they will just then begin to execute the next "sub-action" necessary to completing what you've asked them to do.

Your point here is great, and I apologize if I ignored it before. I'm making a separate reply so crinrict won't miss it. You and crinrict are both making similiar points, and I think you're both 100% right.
