Re: [FIXED] Sims washing hands in sink in different bathroom

Which language are you playing the game in? Polski
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.90.375.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get To Work, Get Together, City Living, Cats and Dogs, Seasons, Get Famous, Island Living, Discover University, Eco Lifestyle, Snowy Escape, High School Years, Outdoor Retreat, Spa Day, Dine Out, Parenthood, Dream Home Decorator, Werewolves, Luxury Party, Perfect Patio, Cool Kitchen, Laundry Day, Moschino, Tiny Living.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Use toilet in bathroom.
What happens when the bug occurs? Sim goes to randomly chosen sink on lot after using bathroom.
What do you expect to see? Sim going to sink in the same room where toilet was used.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. It started happening after 1.90.358.1030 patch.

After HSY patch, my Sims after using toilet started to go to random sink in different bathrooms instead of using the one is same room where they used toilet.

    @Linkyop Sims often have a lot of routing issues with sinks. Did this happen regardless of whether the mods and/or custom content was removed?

    Yes. Happens no matter of mods installed. And I even reinstalled entire game today to check it without mods.

    @Linkyop I've had a similar issue in previous versions of the game. I'm wondering if a bug fix to discourage Sims from washing up in random sinks has messed with how Sims are choosing sinks in this situation.

    Well, I didn't had this problem before HSY update at all, so something messed up there.

    @Linkyop Okay. It could possibly be linked to Neat Sims now cleaning themselves instead of their furniture when auto-solving motives. Do the affected Sims have the Neat trait?

    I'm playing on household with two Sims with Autonomy disabled fully.
    Neither of them have Neat trait.

    @Linkyop Hm. I think it's probably related to how that trait's bug was fixed, but I can't be certain. It's entirely possible in that fixing that glitch has affected Sims who don't have the Neat trait too. But I can't be super sure. Would it be possible to send some screenshots of the lot's layout? I'm thinking it could be a routing issue.

    Blue squares are bathrooms, red are non-bathroom related sinks.

    So far they used every one of them randomly.

    @Linkyop I'm not seeing any potential routing issues immediately, but then again, I've had Sims insist they can't go through a door because there's a table on the other side of the room... Have these sinks changed placement since the update when this started?

    Nope, I didn't touched layout of home for couple months.

    @Linkyop Okay. Either it's not a routing issue or it's a routing issue from the changes made so that Neat Sims stop trying to clean the sink when they have their Hygiene motive auto-solved. Possibly it's a resurgence of the Sims picking random sinks for no reason bug.

    Console players are having this issue as well per previous thread comments. So this is a game issue, not a mod or custom content issue.

    I first noted this issue in the high school. Now, it's happening in my sim's homes.. annoying. Especially when they have to walk in on another sim using the other bathroom. If my sims die of embarrassment because of this bug, then EA is covering the Grim Reaper's labor fees.

    I have seen sims try to target a ladder basement sink after using toilet in floor level area of house, while ignoring a perfectly good sink is in same room as toilet they just finished using.

    It has nothing to do with the quality of the sink, they targeted this very cheap basement -utility type- sink in preference to a better, more expensive, and more contextually appropriate bathroom basin.

    There needs to be a preference made for items used in sequence in a flat circle around the sim (not a sphere or that will target items in higher or lower floors than ones they are on), so they prefer to use items in same room they are in at time.
