Re: [FIXED] Sims won't drown

@Dorifto96 I put your Sim in a save of my own. Though he shows zero skills and only basic traits he certainly has an amazing amount of stamina.

After swimming for several (Sim) hours he finally became Very Uncomfortable / Low Energy / Cramp / Sudden Chill / Swallowed Water
I made him keep swimming until he refused due to excess fatigue. Even after days {!} at the gym he would always recover and not die.

Cramps were from eating then going swimming right after.

Testing in a new save now to compare results.

This is strange indeed. Now I have no idea what's the issue with my version of the sims lol

@dorifto96  "This is strange indeed. Now I have no idea what's the issue with my version of the sims lol"
Neither do I ... 😮 I moved him to a brand new save with a second Sim to test together.

They are in Sulani with lots of opportunity to swim. I let the two of them chat a bit then sent him off to swim.
It was not until about 9pm that first day he shows about half energy (yellow) bar.

Hunger is now in the high end of the red (hungry but not starving).

Have you seen this in any of your other Sims?
I wonder if the patch may have contributed. I watched the Q&A for Island Living and recall there being a mention of tweaking the swimming system.

Yup. I tried to drown one of the pre made sims. "Liberty Lee" from the BFF household in Willows Creek. She too didn't die after having zero energy.

I too suspect the patch contributed. But i have no idea how. Intially, i did the uninstall and reinstall, but the problem still persisted. Unless I may have done the uninstall wrong.

@Dorifto96 Thank you for supplying the Sims and patiently waiting for an answer.
I will see what I can find out and let you know if additional information is needed.

@dorifto96  I have news ~ ~ ~ good and bad so brace your self.

The Sim who could not drown is not immortal.
He just drowned in the ocean.

    RIP

@EuphorialQueen  Sorry for the late replies. Was away for a short trip and didn't have time to check these forums.

So does this mean drowning is only available in Island Living now? Was the sim able to die in the pool? It kinda seems like he can under different games, but not mine for some reason.

Unless you had to wait a super long time for him to die at zero energy?

Also, worse come to worse, is there a way to notify EA directly about issues like this? I know is minor, but I hope they do take note of this and fix it in further patches.Or at least, prevent their further patches from ruining the game further.

Small update:I installed the MCCC mods and was able to force kill the sims by drowning. This seems to indicate the deaths are still there, but I don't know why the standard way of triggering it doesn't work. It's not a perfect solution, but I guess it's better than nothing. At least I can continue to play my morbid storyline
