Re: [FIXED] [V] Dates & Wedding and Birthday parties only possible at night

I've been playing a couple where the girl got turned into a vampire, got engaged to a human, turned the human into a vampire, and I'm now trying to marry them. The wedding plan screen won't allow me to go past the first page (picking the event) because "Your Sims must be engaged to get married". They get whims to get engaged, but the relationships panel says they're engaged and there isn't an interaction to propose for either of them. Is there a fix for this, or is anyone else having this issue?

Yes, I have mods but I've tested with and without the mods folder and there's no change, so that isn't it.

Just tested this, and it didn't work. I had them break up, become GF/BF, then get engaged. Eloping works, but using the wedding arch in any way doesn't.

Were they promised as teens ?

Not sure if it's an vampire only issue or just the usual case of can't propose bug

Nope, they were both young adults--one human, one vampire when they got engaged the first time. They didn't even meet until they were young adults.

Edit: They can propose just fine, it's planning the wedding event or using the wedding arch that they can't do. Perhaps it's an issue with the party system itself not recognizing vampires?

There is a major bug in the Sims 4 vampires. The bug is 2 vampires who are engaged can not get married via wedding arch. Moving them into a new neighborhood and house does not fix it.

Repairing the game, does not fix it. Please help with this bug and fix it.

I faced an issue that literally mirrored the OP. Playing as a female Young Adult vampire, turned some guy into a vampire and dated him. Proposed to him. Couldn't plan a wedding event. It said they weren't engaged. The only difference is that I CAN use the wedding arch. (I ended up just traveling with a group and getting married without the actual event going on.)

Yeah, I'm another person experiencing this bug.

I'm using a CAS created vampire, and trying to marry into the Vatore Vampire family.

I can elope with the Sims option, or marriage arch option, but it's not letting me do the Wedding Event.

  • My vampire sims cannot have a wedding party either! I eloped which was a huge disappointment since I really wanted a wedding party, this is my first file and I wanted to see what that was like. Then, to make it worse, they had a child and cannot throw him a birthday party ☹️ It seems several of the parties are messed up for vampires and it would be awesome if you could fix this.

I am not using mods and I just got Sims 4 this month.

I have a sort of solution: start your wedding party social event at night and it should work. The same appears to be true of birthday parties and dates for vampires.

Hello everyone. I've recently been encountering issues with selecting a birthday sim when planning a birthday party. Although this has happened in the past, I currently have a vampire family of 7, 2 adults, 3 children, 2 toddlers. The toddlers are twins and it says that the amount of days until age up is 0. So, I want to throw a birthday party. However when I go to plan it and select the sim, the only sim I can choose is Jessica, the second youngest child who still has ages until age-up. I'm not sure what to do to fix this. I've tried making sure auto-age is on, obviously exiting in and out of the game numerous times, and it's still not working. My sims end up very sad about not having a birthday party. Can anyone help? Thanks.

This is a known bug. You can use a cake to age them up. You can invite guests but no birthday party.

It's because you used your sim to change the other, thus making it a "Master" and "Offspring" relationship as seen in their profiles under relationships tab. In the "Vampire Family" aspiration this relationship is treated like a parent-child one. But because they are not actually related, as seen in the genealogy tab, you can still romance them. This allows you to go as far as engagement. The game will interpret the relationship as employer-employee instead and stop you from getting married while they are "Master" and "Offspring", thinking it's inappropriate.

The solution would be to turn one back into a human, marrying the Sims, and THEN turning the [already spouse] human sim back into a vampire.

I ran into this problem myself and this is how I solved it.

The issue in this thread was different and has been fixed.

Marriage was only possible at night for Vampires. They worked fine during the day.

Could you maybe make a new thread for that issue cause that sounds like another bug to me.

This was considered fixed and if it's back, it's best to have a new thread to get an accurate me too count
