Re: [NEEDS INPUT] [JA] Skeletal Assistant Marries and Has Family

thanks for your help. Hopefully you'll be able to reproduce it... if for no other reason than it's super weird.  You won't meet the children of the skeletons (sounds like a movie title) until after interacting with them... at least, that's how they showed up before.

Thank you again.

@crinrict @SimGuruIcarus I'm not sure if this will be helpful or not, but I've found a temporary "work around".  At least for the Skeletons taking over the Get Together clubs, and the Mimsy duplications.

The true problem with the skeletons taking over the clubs is that they don't "show up" for club meetings.  I suspect this is by design -- they don't show up, because they shouldn't be in the club in the first place.  But, since some of the clubs were already near capacity with skeletons, it rendered those clubs more or less unusable.

My Sim family has been friends with the Grim Reaper each and every generation.  They are able to spend a lot of time with him because you can invite ANYsim on vacation with you... but *ONLY once you're at the vacation destination world. (This *only applies to dead Sims.  Living Sims can be invited before you ever leave.)

Once you get to the vacation world, If you KNOW them, you can click on their picture in the relationships tab (be it ghost, or Grim) and invite that Sim to join you.  I'm not sure if this is a bug, or if it was designed to be this way, however -- this particular function has been very convenient / desirable.

Problematically, since no skeleton would ever show up at the club meetings, the active Sim never "knew" any of them.  BUT, what I discovered was -- if you join a club that the *Bonies have hijacked, once you get to the vacation destination world -- you can simply click on the photo of the offending skeleton(s) in the CLUBS TAB.  The option to invite them to join the active Sim on vacation IS available that way.

You still cannot build relationships with the skeletons - the bar remains neutral, no matter what.  So, they have to be "added" to the family manually with testing cheats on.  Once added, they can be rounded up from the manage worlds / manage households screen, and deleted.

By adding a few living Sims to each club (once the skeletons are deleted, the active Sim becomes president by default, and is able to add to the roster), the clubs seem to remain Sim populated, rather than skeletally populated -- for now.  The active Sim can then remove his or her membership from that club, and is free to De-Skeletonize the rest of the clubs.  Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

The same process can be used to rid the game of Mimsy (or Bernard) duplications.  Mimsy seems unable to be invited to join a household (as far as I can tell - perhaps I haven't been patient enough), and I think it's because she is a truly non-playable character that is meant for the Von Haunt Estate only.  Bearing that in mind, you need to make sure it's the duplicate, and not the actual Mimsy, you invite on vacation.  Usually, the duplicate has the same personality traits, but they're not in the right order.  A dead give-away (if you'll excuse the pun) is when the duplicate is married to somesim else -- typically, a skeleton.

In any case, the duplicate Mimsy can be invited on vacation (just like a regular, known ghost, assuming you know her), and then added to the family manually with testing cheats on.  From there, she can be moved out and deleted. I also clear all the marriages the duplicate may or may not have (with testing cheats enabled) prior to moving her out... just in case.

This is process intensive -- I realize.  But it's worked for my game.  Hopefully, the true cause of the game's behavior will be able to be modified so this is no longer an issue.

Thank you for your time... I do apologize for calling on the two of you personally... You have been helpful, and so I thought I should give you (another) update.

    Happy Simming!

I am also having a issue with Jungle Adventures skeletons, extended family's. I have been trying to collect all the golden relics, so have been to the jungle many times. My game is now overrun with Sims with surnames such as, Osso, Hueso, Maximus and Skeleton. These Sims do not appear in manage world, and can be any age child, teen or adult.

I do not use any mods but installed MCCC to find out my hidden household population, my hidden households contains 54 Sims. Grim a few stray cats and dogs for Jungle Adventure and the rest are all skeletons or there family's. This seems like an excessive number of Sims for the half a dozen times i have bumped into a skeleton in the temple. They really need to be unhidden, so the excess can be deleted.
